N.J. pharmacy worker stole nearly $140K in money orders, cops say

A Paterson woman was arrested Monday and charged with stealing nearly $140,000 in money orders from the pharmacy where she worked, authorities said.
Leticia Lopez-Fernandez, 32, took $139,947.99 in money orders that were generated while she was working at CityRx Pharmacy on W. Broadway, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.
Lopez-Fernandez is charged with one count of second-degree theft, Valdes said.
Lopez-Fernandez was held pending a court hearing where she is expected to be released on pre-trial monitoring.
Attorney information for Lopez-Fernandez was not immediately available on Tuesday.
